What is the benefit of attending the trainings?

ECE professionals and others who want to further the development of the Outdoor Classroom will strengthen their understanding and their skills. They will learn how to better support their colleagues, communicate Outdoor Classroom concepts and practices, model effective behavior, and evaluate and modify environments and programs.

Can I attend if I don’t work directly with children?

Yes. However, you should know that the training is designed for teachers in center-based programs.

Do I have to attend all six sessions?

If you want to receive a Certificate of Completion, you will need to attend all 6 half-day Saturday sessions.

If I miss one of the sessions, can I make it up?

You can miss up to one of the six Saturday sessions for the training, however no makeup sessions or refunds will be offered.

Will you be selling required texts or how will access the required reading?

A PDF version of the required readings are included and will be sent to you electronically. Suggested titles are available for sale at online retailers.

What if I need to make up a session from a previous training?

With the newest format of the Professional Certificate Training, there will no longer be make-ups from past sessions. If you have further questions about the past leveled trainings, please contact us.
